Book club no. 18: The International Booker Prize
The International Booker Prize is the most important prize for translated literature to English. In this book club we dive into three of the most recent winners.
We will read brutal and caring stories from a religious minority in India. We will read this year’s metafictional winner from Taiwan about romance, friendship, food culture and Japanese imperialism.
Lastly, we will read a hypnotic and heartbreaking novel from France about falling into madness, while at the same time being shattered by grief and the horror of war.
Please note that in this book club, the conversation will be in English.
The bookclub will meet the second Thursday in every month between 15.00-16.30 at Gentofte Main Library
