Book club no. 17: Julian Barnes
Julian Barnes was born in Leicester, England on January 19, 1946. He has written numerous novels, short stories and essays.
He has received several awards and honours for his writing, including the 2011 Man Booker Prize for The Sense of an Ending.
His writing has earned him considerable respect as an author who deals with the themes of history, reality, memory, truth and love. His latest novel Departure(s) was released on January 20, 2026 to coincide with his 80th Birthday. This is Julian Barnes' 15th novel and, according to him, his last.
